Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "real steps" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing penalties," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets struck energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area endured intense attacks overnight. A minor lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks come after nights of air raids in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were anticipating additional strikes.
